JOB OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
Netflix's Digital Production are live action, complex technical virtual production titles and future innovative production methodologies where the digital techniques merge with physical production practices. Digital Production is an emerging team that focuses on our complex technical titles that aim to utilize real-time, LED stage technology, VFX, and volumetric capturing, etc. Digital Production provides production management and physical production expertise relating to Virtual Production technologies, hence they partner closely with Production and VFX title management teams to help ensure our 'Digital Productions' are being developed, prepared and managed effectively while leveraging these new opportunities to enhance filmmaking and storytelling to help tell the best stories. Digital Production is at the forefront of planning, designing, and the construction of our Production Innovation infrastructure builds which would include our global LED stage initiatives and would work closely with Production Planning, CREWS and Production Strategy & Operations teams. Responsibilities:
Responsible for guiding, advising, and consulting key decisions to successfully develop, prepare, and implement complex technical Netflix content utilizing Digital Production methodologies working with Filmmakers, Heads of Departments, Title leadership and in partnership with Production, VFX, Virtual Production, and Creative Technologies teams, cross-functional teams, content creators, and vendors globally. Provides creation, input, and advisement to Line Producer and Virtual Production Producer of Digital Production Budgets. Engages in necessary bidding, cross referencing cost impact across multiple methodologies, and provides strategic comparisons between traditional production and virtual/digital production. Informs and advises on necessary Digital Production Schedules encompassing project development, design, build, production, through delivery timeframes, giving guidance to Filmmakers and cross-functional partners across global slate of series and features. Advises on strategic Crewing and hiring, sourcing virtual production personnel and vendors regionally, as well as establishing market digital production stage rate cards. Provides project or script evaluation and breakdowns for the studio. Provides guidance of workflow and schedules of Content-to-the-wall from VFX Asset Build, Camera Ready Content, to Post VFX. Work closely with Title/Show Virtual Production Producer, Virtual Production Supervisor, and Virtual Production Team. Manages and tracks cost efficiency and In-Camera VFX Volume Tracking on projects. Act as a partner with Virtual Production and Creative Technologies and help advise on production and operational implementation regarding the development of the production plan. Qualifications:
5
years of experience as a freelance, vendor, or studio side Producer in VFX, Virtual Production, Gaming, On-set Physical Production and/or Studio. Multiple years of experience building reports and delivering insights on budget, scheduling and cost. Capable of working with producers, vendors, cross-functional teams on implementing production workflows on-time and on-budget. A strong understanding of VFX workflow, Virtual Production pipelines, Animation, and/or Gaming. Sincere passion about the Virtual Production landscape and the future of content creation. Ability to handle a fast paced environment, supervising several projects in various points of production (from development through delivery). Highly organized, efficient, detailed oriented with a proactive mentality and creative problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated proactive team member with the capacity to work independently. Willing to travel to meet with vendors, production, and set visits. Ability to respond after hours for important, timely or urgent matters.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Digital Marketing & Social MediaEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
