Connecting great people to the best work is our purpose - together, we deliver. The Los Angeles Area is seeking to fill a position of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Program Manager. The position may be based in Kleinfelder's office in Los Angeles, Riverside or Laguna Hills, CA. The ideal candidate will:
Coordinate and communicate with internal or external clients to understand their needs Manage a portfolio of projects meeting client and company requirements for safety, budget, quality and schedule Safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support. Mentor and manage junior staff and project level geotechnical professionals through project performance Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis. Coordinate tasks and manage medium to large size multi-disciplined projects with guidance and interaction by senior operations/technical staff. Prepare or review designs, reports and calculations on complex projects. We are looking for someone with the ability to provide quality technical and project/program management support for mainly energy clients but also transportation, commercial, municipal, and water projects. Experience with energy and utility clients is needed. Strong analytical skills are required in areas including:
soil and rock classification, seismic evaluations, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, shallow and deep foundation design, construction support, and soil improvement techniques pipeline, power transmission, Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), or Tunnel Design experience are a plus Education &
Experience:
10 to 15
years of related experience. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License in State of California or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. California Geotechnical Engineer (GE) License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire preferred. Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail. Candidate must be willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed. This position may require work on projects requiring full vaccination from COVID-19. If that is the case, you will be required to show proof of vaccination or an acceptable exemption in order to work on the project. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Engineering Management, Civil EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
