Assistant Project Manager
Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the VP of Operations, the regional project manager will function in a multitude of roles related to Large DOT/DOD/Private, Alternative Delivery, Mining projects and pursuits. Primary responsibilities will include:
Assist the VP of Operations in project identification, market intelligence, partnering, pursuits/proposal preparation, and project startup. Attend regular meetings with engineering and operations staff across a multi-state area, identify/delegate/monitor all market related operational and administrative tasks and insure they are completed, prepare and review monthly updates, attend and occasionally lead regularly scheduled internal, partner, and client meetings, review project forecasts/cost to complete, and mentor engineering staff in Best Management Practices. Essential Functions ? Provide Active Market Intelligence ? Assist in Market Strategy Development ? Assist in Teaming/Partnering ? Attend Pursuit and Project Meetings ? Early Estimating and Takeoff ? Assist in Design Development and Management ? Change Order Identification and Negotiation ? Cost Reporting ? Mentoring Education & Minimum Experience ? Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred) ? 10
years of experience in large (>$50M) DOT transportation infrastructure projects, 5
years in a project management/estimating role, alternative delivery experience a strong plus. ? Previous construction management experience on DoD/USACE or other federal projects required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities ? Must have Understanding of the FARS and DFARS (Federal and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations) ? Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint ? Strong written and verbal communication skills ? Computer knowledge in HCSS and P6 software preferred ? Ability to adequately manage time, travel, and consistently meet strict deadlines ? Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
