DEN IT Systems Manager

DEN is the USC Viterbi School of Engineering's graduate online engineering program that supports more than 40 master's degrees and noncredit programs in a hybrid model supporting faculty and students in the classroom and students online (DEN@Viterbi). DEN's infrastructure consists of 18
hybrid classrooms and learning environments including learning management systems, lecture recording, database systems, and staff in areas of classroom operations, instructional services, technical support, systems administration, software programming, and student services. DEN's IT Systems Manager is responsible for the management of IT systems, network infrastructure, coordination of central, third party, and cloud-based IT services, security and compliance for DEN's infrastructure and supported academic and administrative systems. DEN's IT Systems includes classroom delivery systems (encoding and cloud hosted delivery systems), VMWare clusters, database systems, DNS, Active Directory, Exchange and file systems, PCI compliance and security compliance, and direct management of cloud based services. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Serves as primary lead for IT systems and network infrastructure, on premise/cloud/third party systems. Supervises staff in systems administration areas and ensures proper IT protocols and security guidelines are met. Supports DEN's learning management system and classroom technologies in areas of course delivery systems including encoding systems, recording systems, and on premise and cloud-based delivery systems. Manages IT systems budget and researches and recommends innovative IT systems in the e-learning space. IT support and administration of end user tools and database systems developed by software programmers. Consults with key groups and users to identify, implement, and support IT systems and network infrastructure for specified services and projects. Support for administrative and academic systems and tools developed in house or third-party systems. Coordinates with vendors and third-party applications for IT services. Analyzes IT project scope and ensures compliance. Develops documentation and internal processes and procedures, especially in areas of systems security and compliance. Serves as the primary source of information regarding IT systems. Coordinates with central university IT services and security agencies to ensure compliance. Minimum Qualifications Experienced in Virtual Machine, Active Directory, database systems, windows computing environment, network protocols, server administration, cloud-based services, budget management and licensed services procurement Preferred Qualifications Additional qualifications include production experience with MySQL server, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare, AWS, Linux Server administration Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Preferred Education:
Master's Degree 3 Years
experience in IT systems management
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
