Job Purpose:
The Master Data Governance (MDG) Architect is responsible to drive SAP MDG Configuration and MDG Testing for the data subject area.
You will work closely with the Business SME and MDG Functional consultant to drive the workshops, gather requirement and configure it in MDG.
You will also be responsible to deliver custom objects on a need basis.
You will also be involved in end-to-end implementation - from requirement gathering to testing and user training.
KARL STORZ is looking for a technical/functional MDG implementer to join an existing and very talented SAP team, for a multi-year global implementation of MDG-S S4/Hana and two SAP ERPs/ECC.
Your primary role will be to design, implement and deploy MDG solutions starting with the MDG Customer implementation (followed by material and supplier).
You will be working on all MDG aspects, such as:
addressing new requirements, MDG configuration, guiding the internal development team, dealing with challenging production issues, addressing data quality needs, dealing with the overall system design and architecture, and implementing best practices.
You will be offered opportunities to create brand new or update existing solutions making them more efficient whilst using expert know-how and knowledge of MDG.
Job Duties:
Act as Technical Project Manager or Subject Matter Expert in projects and initiatives across multiple functional areas and regions; Effectively interact with Leadership and end-users to understand business needs and supporting data & process requirements Perform business analysis tasks such as documenting business process map, analyzing process challenges & issues, and recommending target state; ask leading questions to elicit information from non-technical users; document the findings and present the results of analyses Support and perform testing on global SAP changes that affect MDG processes such as end-to-end testing, writing UAT scripts, sign-off, and approvals.
Develop, deploy, and manage the review process of reference data objects for quality, completeness, and overall integrity of key data elements and provide remediation recommendations for data cleansing Provides support to all business reference data-related activities e.

, Data Loads using LSMW, Data Extracts, Data Mass Maintenance, and other Mass Updates Perform business analysis tasks such as documenting business process map, analyzing process challenges & issues, and recommending target state; ask leading questions to elicit information from non-technical users; document the findings and present the results of analyses Research, and evaluate new technologies/solutions and remain abreast of industry standards and best practices in MDG functional areas of SAP, analyze potential impact on company systems governance framework, and inform management of actions needed or other recommendations Advise in the business requirement, functional and non-functional requirement gathering for SAP MDG projects Develop functional specifications for enhancements, user exits, and other programming changes.
Lead activities for migration of existing master data into the MDG hub, including validations and derivations using BADIs and BRF Minimum Knowledge, Education, and Skill Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or other similar topics or 15
years of relevant SAP work experience plus a minimum of 5 years in SAP MDM/MDG Minimum hard skill requirements (including computer and application proficiency):
Strong understanding of SAP MDG architecture and configuration Experience with End-to-End Implementation of MDG module for large-scale organization Experience with system design, configuration, customization, integration, testing, and support Experience and knowledge of key integration points with MDG modules Good knowledge of BAPI, User exists, Export rules, ABAP code, RFC connection, etc.
Good S/4 HANA experience Experience with system integration (IDOC, SOA, Flat File) Experience in SOA Configurations for BP replication Strong Knowledge in ABAP, ALE/IDOC, Workflows, RFCs, Enhancement Framework Expertise in Object Oriented Programming Experience working on FIORI/Gateway Good knowledge in data enrichment, quality/health check of master data Hands-on development experience in MDG development and configuration Strong knowledge in SAP MDG Data Modeling, UI Modeling, DRF and BRF, SAP ABAP OOP, SAP Workflow, SAP Web Services Minimum soft skill requirements:
Ability to influence across all levels of the organization and to partner effectively with cross-functional teams Must be able to collaborate with a global team of technical and business team members.
