Responsibilities:
Assist the Program Director with all the following:
Create and supervise programs.
Coordinate all activities of program.
Supervise, hire, and train faculty.
Monitor the effectiveness and results of the program and plan adjustments.
Ensure compliance with all government relations.
Responsible for the effective leadership and management of faculty.
Interviews all prospective program instructors.
Schedules and faculty meetings.
Monitors the faculty performance by means of classroom and clinical observations.
Develops and maintains program curricula and syllabi.
Responsible for any and all health education seminars, projects, and meetings.
Attends to students' needs, i.
e.
questions, concerns, grievances.
Responsible for keeping current licensure for faculty and school.
Oversees the development and maintenance of class schedules and times.
Secondary
Responsibilities:
Become familiar with school policies.
Prepare and submit lesson plans as requested by the Program Director.
Adhere to the syllabus and curriculum.
Maintain accurate grade and attendance records for each student.
Submit grade reports in timely manner.
Inform students at orientation or in the first class period of the course requirement, testing system, assignments, supplies needed, and attendance and classroom procedures.
Hold strictly to class time periods.
Provide each student with course calendar and syllabus Counsel and advice students on academic matters.
Continue with personal, professional growth and if applicable, provide documentation of CEU's or certification renewal to Program Director.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelors degree from an accredited program recognized by the U.
S.
Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or equivalent.
Must hold a current California active license as a Registered Nurse.
Must have a minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse; one year shall be in teaching or clinical supervision, or a combination thereof, in a state approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or have a minimum of three years experience in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five years.
Must have completed a course or courses offered by an approved school with instruction (1) in teaching, (2) curriculum development, and (3) administration.
Experience in administration in a school environment preferred.
