Los Angeles, CA Los Angeles, CA 8 days ago 8 days ago 8 days ago Under the direction of the Director of Finance and Operations, serve as the Business Office/HR Assistant for the UCLA Lab School's Business Office and will provide a wide variety of administrative support functions for the Financial Services Analysts in the Business Office.
The Business Office/HR Assistant will provide administrative support including, but not limited to UCPath processing, human resources, and assisting with foundation fund management.
This role will also assist with processing Bruinbuy, Pcard, and Concur travel transactions.
Other general office duties include answering general inquiries regarding the Business Office, performing administrative tasks, gathering data for various projects, interacting with other campus units on behalf of the school, and assisting with special assignments as needed.
The Business Office/HR Assistant is an integral member of the Business Office team whose support is essential to the successful administration of the business and financial functions of UCLA Lab School.
The UCLA Lab School is an innovative school for children ages 4-12 and a laboratory for teachers and researchers in the School of Education & Information Studies (SE&IS) at UCLA.
The Business Office manages and supports an annual budget of $11 million and manages over 100
academic and careers employees, 30
student workers, independent contractors, and volunteers.

00 pm Qualifications for Position 13 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred 1.
Working experience with Bruin Buy, Concur expense reporting system, UCPath, and other University systems as needed.
Required 2.
Demonstrated skill with computers and various software applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) to create word documents, databases, and spreadsheets.
Required 3.
Ability to reconcile monthly financial ledgers, accounts receivable and payroll records.
Required 4.
Skill to interpret policies and procedures to ensure purchases and transactions are prepared in compliance with UCLA business policies and procedures.
Required 5.
Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
Required 6.
Typing skills sufficient to prepare documents, business correspondence, reports and various types of memoranda with speed and accuracy.

Listening skills sufficient to obtain verbal information in order to compose accurate and complete messages.

Skill to establish and maintain organized filing systems for rapid retrieval of information.
