Los Angeles, CA Los Angeles, CA $64,800 - $137,600 a year $64,800 - $137,600 a year Description As our Payroll Analyst you will be responsible for the full range of payroll functions for the Department of Medicine.
Major duties include on-line processing of payroll transactions, UC Path/HBS entry and review.
Collect, audit and process monthly and bi weekly time reporting, and maintain leave accruals in support of an annual staff payroll across multiple fund sources.
Provide technical support to all areas of Payroll for assigned divisions or clinics.
Collaborate with HR areas to ensure accuracy of payroll processing.
Provide leadership and training to division support staff, division administrations or clinic managers/directors on payroll actions, policies, and procedures.
Provide back-up support to the divisions in the absence or vacancy of a division support representatives and back-up support to the academic compensation unit.
Salary Range:
$64,800.
00 - $137,600.
00 Annual Qualifications Required:
Under the accountability structure for the personnel and payroll systems, incumbent must be fully cognizant of basis payroll/personnel policy, regulatory and other requirements; assure compliance of all business transactions affecting University funds with all laws and regulations as well as any restrictions on the use of those funds; exhibit a working knowledge of budget; possess an adequate level of technical skills required to use the various administrative application systems involved; demonstrate an awareness of policies, rules, laws, regulations or other restrictions on the use of funds sufficient to either ascertain compliance or seek additional assistance; and possess sufficient authority to fulfill their responsibilities in order to disallow a transaction without being countermanded or subject to disciplinary action.
Working knowledge of University payroll transaction processing, policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Demonstrated experience in the operation of computer using Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and the UC Path/HBS On-line Systems.
Ability to establish and maintain payroll documents to on-line computer system legibly, with speed and accuracy including math skills to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals Ability to understand and accurately apply University policies and procedures and the provision of various labor agreements in order to ensure accuracy of salary differential, overtime payment, vacation/sick and other benefit accruals, etc.
Demonstrated skill in performing standard payroll operations including auditing time report documents, computing payroll hours and reconciling errors.
Working knowledge of University personnel/payroll related systems, forms, policies and procedures including the terms and conditions of various bargaining agreements, and staff personnel policies and procedures (PPSM) and the ability to process on-line transactions and forms required to accomplish various staff and academic personnel, benefit and payroll transactions.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
