Los Angeles, CA Los Angeles, CA 8 days ago 8 days ago 8 days ago Under the supervision of the Digital Services Manager, the Web Developer is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of websites and web applications within the Humanities division.
Work with faculty, staff and students to understand project requirements and design web based solutions.
Adhere to and enhance standards for a consistent user experience and create accessible and user-friendly interfaces.
Develop and modify websites, and create extensions or plugins for chosen CMS platforms.
Ensure websites are compliant with University standards including brand guidelines, accessibility, and security policies.
Demonstrate knowledge of modern web concepts and standards, learn and implement new and changing web technologies in a higher education environment.

00 pm Qualifications for Position 18 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred Hands on experience converting wire frames and design to website templates.
Required Experience and knowledge of content management systems such Wordpress, Drupal or other similar systems Required Experience and technical knowledge of coding languages, not limited to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery (or other JavaScript Frameworks such as REACT), & PHP.
Required Experience with integrations using web services using SOAP / REST and other endpoint APIs.
Preferred Familiarity with operation and configuration of web hosting environments, including CPANEL, NGINX and application of SSL Certificates.
Preferred Demonstrated knowledge of database technologies including, but not limited to relational databases, MySQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
Required Knowledge of code versioning, deployment pipelines and automation tools such as GitHub, Ansible, Jenkins.
Preferred Demonstrated understanding of usability and information architecture for websites.
Required Self-starting, self-sufficient, detail-oriented and ability to work in a collaborative environment and develop cooperative working relationships with co-workers and project managers.
Required Ability to comprehend, and disseminate information that is accurate, sound, timely and well-documented.
Required Strong listening skills with the ability to understand and develop user-friendly pages that meet departmental needs.
Required Strong visual design sense and written communication skills.
Required Ability to prioritize assignments and achieve high productivity and quality under shifting demands and accelerated timelines Required Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Required Ability to interface with faculty, students and staff with various technical skills and backgrounds.
Required Familiarity with modern web concepts from a design standpoint.
Required Demonstrated understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.
1) standards related to web design and development.
Required Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field and 2 years experience as a programmer analyst, web designer, computer programmer, or related occupation, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
