Ideal position for recent college graduates looking to gain research/clinical experience for moving onto graduate school or medical school.
Responsibilities encompass:
Conducting scientific projects on the neural basis of human memory.
Includes recording single neurons during cognitive tasks from patients with implanted electrodes in the hospital for epilepsy monitoring.
Tasks also involve Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) under neurologist supervision for research on translational memory therapies.
Employing python, Matlab, BrainLab, ASHS, ANTS, FSL, and other computer programs for task prep and analysis.
Updating lab director with reports on patient progress.
Managing active lab with graduate, undergraduate students, and volunteers.
Keeping inventory, upkeep, and regular lab equipment/materials check and purchases.
Crafting reports, human subject IRB applications, grant materials, and related correspondence.
Comfort working with medical hardware systems and related software for electrophysiological recording and stimulation.
Keeping flexible hours (including nights and weekends) for overnight recording setups and patient testing.
Employee can take off subsequent weekdays for any nights or weekends worked.
Salary:

S.
in Neuroscience or equivalent course work and experience Proven high level of scientific and professional integrity Ability to exercise a high degree of independence Basic knowledge of neurophysiology, cognitive neuroscience, and psychology Ability to work with patient subjects (good rapport, willingness, safety techniques) Detailed knowledge of all safety related laboratory procedures as set forth in federal, state and University guidelines.
Must be willing to work flexible hours Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Preferred:
Knowledge of computers and software programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Access, Endnote, GB-Stat, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, FSL, Brain lab, CareConnect.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
