The Traffic Control Drafter is responsible for designing and drafting temporary traffic control plans in Auto Cad using standards as defined by the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the Work Area Traffic Control Handbook (WATCH) including the implementation of basic traffic engineering principles.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Draft temporary traffic control plans Create basemaps for traffic control plans using all available research from jurisdictions.
Design temporary traffic control and construction setups Coordinate with Sales Reps to design temporary traffic control setups.
Other duties as deemed necessary Job Requirements:
Knowledge of the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the Work Area Traffic Control Handbook (WATCH) (Latest Editions for both manuals) Basic knowledge of Traffic Engineering principles as it pertains to temporary traffic control.
Expert knowledge in the use of Auto Cad.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
