Video Engineer

A client is looking for a Video Engineer with livestreaming experience and specializing in DRM, Digital Rights Management for the Live Streaming team.
This person will be responsible for using existing tools and capabilities to ensure the quality of service for each user is optimized.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in refining existing video quality benchmarks across all Live channels.
Day to day, this role will be focused on understanding the system end to end, evaluating each one of the video streams with knowledge on how to improve or fix it.
This role will require little to no coding with some scripting, however, sharp troubleshooting and problem solving skills are essential so that when a stream goes down it can be fixed.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field - Background in coding - Local to LA - 5
years of experience with a strong video operations background and experience with live streaming - Experience with DRM on encoding/transcoding levels (Elementals, ATEME, etc.
), DRM player integration and debugging (iOS, Android, Roku, FireTV, etc.
) and DRM licensing management - Significant experience with video operations workflows, including working knowledge of ffmpeg and/or GStreamer - Strong with video streaming ABR protocols HLS and MPEG-DASH and video players on multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, ExoPlayer, Roku, video.
js and hls.
js - Previous experience working with content delivery networks (Amazon Cloud Front, Akamai, Limelight, etc) - Knowledge of industry standard A/V codecs and streaming protocols along with CodeX and standards of the video industry - Knowledge of industry measurement and validation processes for linear OTT and VOD video - Strong troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis Recommended Skills Content Delivery Networks Data Streaming Debugging Digital Rights Management Encode Information Technology Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
