We are looking for a detail-oriented Writer/Proofreaderto join our team.
You must be proficient in basic and advanced grammar rules and understand how they are used within our style guides.
Our ideal candidate is meticulous in reviewing copy, noting errors such as punctuation, spelling, and word usage, and knows how to check statements for accuracy or potential plagiarism.
You must communicate effectively with the writers and other staff to ensure documents meet all company guidelines.
Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Review documents for grammar, spelling, and style Fact-check dates and other statements for accuracy Confirm all submitted writing is original Ensure text meets tone and character count outlined by company policies Make corrections and suggest edits to the document Meet proofreading deadlines Writer/Proofreader Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant experience Familiarity with AP and other style guides Fact-checking and research expertise Excellent grammar and communication skills Proficiency in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Please reply with your resume, professional references, and your digital profile.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
