Essential Functions:
Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situationAnalyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issuesDevelops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomesImplements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environmentEvaluates progress toward attaining outcomesIdentifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
Connect electrocardiogram (EKG) leads and alerts doctor of any changes in patient conditionRecords analyzes hemodynamic parameters and calculates shunt and valves and other dataMonitors patient, analyzes electrocardiogram (EKG) and hemodynamic parameter and reports to physician any changes in patient's condition.
Operates computerized MIDAS system with accuracy and evaluates and reports significant data and findings throughout all procedures for all patients of various age groupsOperates other specialized equipment:
Datascope Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Baxter Cardiac Output, Automated Coagulation Timer (ACT) machine, American Optical Unistat Oximeter, Medrad injector, Life Pak, Defibrillator, Sony digital systems, GE Advantx X-ray system.
Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environmentProvides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team membersDirectly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
