Paid Intern, Blumhouse - Unscripted Overview:
Blumhouse is seeking interns to support our Alternative TV department for Spring 2024 from January 15th - April 19th.
As a Blumhouse intern you will have the exciting opportunity to work across a number of creative projects, participate in brainstorms and ideation sessions, attend and assist on development shoots, aid in the development of unscripted formats and documentaries, attend weekly meetings with key TV creatives, and assist in various administrative tasks for the Alternative department.
Compensation:
$17/hour (part time) and school credit available
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or no longer than 1 year post undergraduate or graduate degree during the length of the program Work 20 hours/week in person Must be seeking to strengthen their knowledge and gain expertise in the Television industry, specifically in Alternative/Unscripted/Documentary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detailBe able to handle fast-paced environments and various personalities.
Organized, technology savvy, and willing to take initiativeMust be good with time management and able to multitaskExpertise in the building of presentation materials, creative decks, graphic design background is a plus
Responsibilities:
Track, organize, and manage incoming third party submissions and materials.
Research Blumhouse appropriate talent, writers, IP, and worlds for potential TV projects.
Write and design one-sheets, treatments and pitch decks.
Participate in development meetings and pitch sessions.
Provide coverage for podcasts, books, series, as needed.
Perform basic administrative duties and day-to-day tasksOpportunities to attend creative company events, gatherings, and screenings in LA (per COVID guidelines, if permitted), however not mandatoryCommitment to building an inclusive work environmentAttend company meetings, Speaker Series, and intern-specific meetings with executives, directors, and talent Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
