Based in Los Angeles, the Human Resources Assistant will be primarily responsible for maintaining the firm's Onboarding platform, SilkRoad.
Key responsibilities include processing all new hire paperwork to ensure new hires are properly imported into PeopleSoft and assisting with general administrative support across the Human Resources department.
This role reports to the Assistant Manager, HR Operations.
Responsibilities include:
Processes all new hire forms and conducts any necessary follow-up for any missing information or missing forms.
Responds to inquiries regarding the Onboarding platform to ensure individuals are able to complete tasks timely.
Reviews all I-9 forms completed throughout the firm's US offices to ensure forms are fully and accurately completed.
Reviews all onboarding tasks and documents, compare/audit the information, reconcile any discrepancies.
Imports new hire records into PeopleSoft and conducts audit within the system.
Assists with the collecting and processing of visa paperwork.
Provides general administrative support to the HR department.
Maintains active and terminated personnel files and all other HR related documents, ensuring they can be easily retrieved.
Complete departmental check requests and maintain file copies.
Provides back-up support entering and maintaining personnel data in HRIS system (PeopleSoft) and other related databases.
Provides back-up support responding to the department email account (not shared) responding to inquiries from staff, management, and attorneys from all offices.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and priorities, while meeting deadlines of fast-paced environment.
Capable of maintaining confidence of personal and highly sensitive information.
Critical thinking and sound judgment with ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Excellent customer service skills, with a high level of professionalism, and ability to interface with all levels of staff and management.
Experience:
Four-year college degree required, preferred ideally in Human Resources, Business or other related field.
One to two years of experience in Human Resources department at a law firm or other professional services organization strongly desired.
Completion or ongoing pursuit of a Professional Human Resources certification a plus.
Experience with onboarding platforms, such as SilkRoad, and HRIS systems, particularly PeopleSoft, strongly desired.

Compensation &
Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $60-65k.
The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
