Apparel Production Manager

The Role of Production ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Production Manager with a passion for fashion design or streetwear who excels in creatively solving problems, efficiently communicating with different departments to ensure goals are met, and accurately translating design notes to actionable requests for our vendors.
This role is responsible for helping us expedite and organize our production processes ensuring a timely delivery of our new samples, ideas, collections, and overall line plans.
The Production Manager will primarily work with the Design and Operations Team, exploring efficient processes to ensure a smooth idea-to-production pipeline whilst maintaining our brand's quality standard and schedule.
Our Production Manager will manage the entire communication and production process from initial inception, and development, to the final product and will primarily be based in our office in Los Angeles.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Work directly with the Design Team to set strict deadlines and calendars for sampling and production.
Use your knowledge of product development and processes to bring fashion products to market with speed and accuracy.
Work with Design and Technical Design to ensure technical packages are comprehensive and meet the product's goals for delivery, function, cost, fit, and commercial viability.
Communicate with sourcing offices and vendors daily (written and verbal) on pertinent design, development, delivery, and/or cost-related issues.
Provide differing perspectives to fuel our growth with your unique and diverse experiences and background.
Establish and monitor time and action calendars to hit target delivery dates and negotiate costs to meet target margin goals; suggesting alternatives when relevant.
Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets weekly, including line lists and inventory reports.
Communicate with sales teams and buyers to submit and sample approvals.
Partner with the Design Team to facilitate and expedite collection line sheet production.
Coordinate the day-to-day production operations of the department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities such as organizing, planning, and completing work as assigned by management.
Oversee Daily Production communication with vendors and internal teams.
Manage and communicate all sample and Bulk RM, Care label approvals in a timely manner.
Research seasonal concepts and materials and create mood boards to develop inspiration for the creation of the MENACE collection.
Work with the Design Team and Manufacturers to ensure each style is executed with accuracy.
Sample and fabric swatch organization.
Execute technical sketches for initial tech packs for proposed products or garments.
Work with the wash house to develop new washes.
Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive market and landscape, along with identifying continuous opportunities for advancements in design technologies.
Meeting suppliers, and when necessary, with design to source fabric and trim and evaluate all decoration techniques possible.
Work closely with the various departments to make sure a cohesive workflow exists while still hitting our deadlines on all development samples.
Communicate daily with overseas offices and vendors to resolve issues and follow up on the production process.
Coordinating and communicating any exceptions clearly with the manager, the CD, and appropriate partners.
Follow up with vendors for Weekly Production Status Reports.
Build and maintain a strong team relationship with vendors and internal departments.
Update Production BOM if needed.
Manage TOP samples for photoshoots.
Develop production schedules with Executives:
plans and directs, and assign duties for manufacturing schedule.
Train new team members on company production standards.
Lead company design standards to the highest production capabilities Allocate available resources to enable successful task performance.
Coordinate office staff activities to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure production handling to retain the quality of garments.
Review and approve production garments according to Standard Operating Procedures Monitor production to resolve issues.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of design/production personnel (quality inspectors, workers, contractors, designers, etc.

You have a strong passion for the operations of the fashion industry and streetwear, ideally menswear and home goods, and meticulous attention to detail with a strong communication skill set.
Passion for streetwear/menswear and a strong connection with our brand identity.
Fashion graduate, or 2 years experience with a comparable brand.
Experience in a production role.
Creative thinker, concerned with efficiency and organization.
Highly proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Strong ability to make CAD's/Techpacks.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep to strict deadlines.
Strong understanding of soft woven and polyester fabrications, properties, and categories.
Excellent sense of color and print.
Understanding of pattern-making and/or technical packages.
High ability to lead and direct and a proactive/can-do attitude.
Experienced in working with suppliers and factories, preferably international suppliers.
Deep knowledge of fabrics, production process, and performance of fit and function.
Fluent in English - Chinese or other languages are a plus.
Willingness to engage with a diverse range of work and projects.
