Summary:
The Senior Airport Operations Representative (LM) in the loadmaster team is responsible for supervising entrustment company staff in the performance of their daily flight operation and loadmaster duties.
Job Description:
Performs designated loadmaster responsibilities on the ramp such as confirming tiedown and zone loading, loading of dangerous goods, live animal, and wet cargo in bulk compartment, restraining condition before closing the cargo door Supervises and monitors the loading and unloading of aircraft Ensures that all procedures are followed regarding safety Ensures the proper handling of special items such as dangerous goods Stays updated on the latest handling guidelines and informs entrustment company staff as soon as possible Conducts monthly meetings for both ramp safety and passenger baggage handling with the entrustment company Supervises and monitors ramp agents to ensure flight safety in accordance with company procedures, and ensures luggage containers make it onto the plane on time Performs post flight coordination and crew briefing/preparation Communicates weight balance and Net Line Load (NLL) information to dispatchers Conducts daily morning meetings with ground handling agent Communicates with airport dispatcher and cargo for loading Makes decisions on the ramp within the guidelines from management Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language Ability to coordinate between multiple departments Excellent time management skills Training Airport Resource Management (ARM trainer) Must be able to pass Japan Airlines Dangerous Goods (DG) test Knowledge of Quantum system (NLL system) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Computer skills:
Microsoft and Google suite Driver's license Must be able to obtain airport badge with US Customs clearance Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience in the airline ramp and operation skills preferable Japanese language skill is preferable Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing Ability to walk and climb a ladder Able to travel occasionally as requested Able to work weekends and holidays Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs We offer:
