Duties include the cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
Responsibilities include:
o Assemble meal trays accurately and presentably while working in a fast-paced environment.
o Present menus to patients and assist them with menu selections as needed.
o Distribute menus according to diet master list.
o Collect trays after each meal and deliver food cart to the elevators.
o Prepare and deliver snacks to patients.
o Maintain proper sanitation practices in food handling and equipment use.
o Work in dish room, pot room, and perform housekeeping duties.
This is a part-time per diem (as needed) position with variable hours and work schedule.
Pay range:
$19.
94-19.
94 Hourly Qualifications Ability to follow standardized recipes.
Knowledge of general and nutrient modified diets.
Able to read and write standard English.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
Ability to work in standing position for a long period of time; stretch, bend, walk, stoop, and reach repetitively.
Ability to work in hot, cold, and/or wet areas; lift 40 pounds, push/pull loaded carts weighing 350 pounds.
Ability to conform to dress code, per infection prevention policies and procedures.
Ability to practice safe food handling techniques.
Must have the ability to adjust to fluctuating work load and adhere to production schedules.
Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors and managers.
Ability to adjust to fluctuating workload and adhere to work schedules.
Ability to travel to multiple UCLA Health sites.
