Responsibilities:
Design and architect an enterprise-grade cloud data warehouse/lakehouse on Azure, leveraging Databricks and Snowflake. Ensure the chosen architecture aligns with scalability, security, performance, and cost-efficiency requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization (e.g., data scientists, analysts, business users) to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions. Define the technical vision and roadmap for the data platform, aligning with business objectives. Lead the migration of on-premise data sources, including SQL Server databases, SSIS packages, and data stores, to the cloud platform. Develop and implement strategies for data transformation and cleansing during migration. Design and develop robust and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming data from various sources. Implement real-time and batch data ingestion routines using appropriate cloud technologies. Integrate data from diverse sources and target platforms, ensuring seamless data flow. Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on cloud data platform strategy, technology selection, and implementation best practices. Manage project delivery, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints. Mentor and coach Data Engineers, providing ongoing performance feedback and development opportunities. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering landscape.
Qualifications:
10
years of experience in data engineering, cloud platforms, and big data technologies. Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes. In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks. Proven experience working with Databricks and Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics workloads. In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks. Proven experience working with Databricks and Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics workloads. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Good to have Professional Azure/ Databricks certification.
