Job Description:
Position OverviewThe FAN Site Deployment Construction Project Manager will be part of the Field Area Network group within Information Technology Grid Services organization at Southern California Edison (SCE).
The successful candidate will:
Have construction oversight of projects from the pre-construction meeting through construction completion.
Ensure work is completed in compliance with SCE construction standards and requirements, including safety, and environmental requirements.
Oversee and schedules construction vendors, and field inspectors to ensure customer expectations and timelines are met.
Collaborate with SCE stakeholders in Substations, Transmission, Distribution, Streetlights, and Office Facilities to ensure construction requirements are met.
Typical ResponsibilitiesReview construction drawings and lead pre-construction meetings with customer s construction contractor and SCE s construction contractor.
Ensure sites are built or modified according to the approved construction plans.
Provide issue resolution for all activities related to the construction or modification of a wireless carrier cell site on SCE assets.
Coordinate with substation stakeholders for scheduling of electrical checkers and for new access gates as needed.
Coordinate with contractors for delivery of material to job sites.
Ensure city conditions of approval are addressed and met during construction.
Complete safety observations and site inspections as required.
Provide initial scope of work to contractors.
Ensure closing packages and as-bult documents are accurate, and site information is updated in the system.
Manage construction vendor relationships and conduct safety meetings.
Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and cost targets.
QualificationsSeven (7) or more years of experience in wireless construction project management, and telecommunications or utility construction project management.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
PreferredExperience in the deployment of wireless cell sites on SCE assets.
Thorough knowledge of SCE policies and procedures with respect to construction on substations, office facilities, Transmission rights-of-way, distribution rights-of-way, streetlights, and 3rd party sites.
