The community founded by Rabbi Isaiah Zeldin is now led by Rabbi Yoshi Zweiback and a committed team of clergy, educators, administrators, and volunteers. Aaron Milken Center (preschool), Wise School (a top-tier K-6 elementary school), and the Center for Youth Engagement (including youth experiential education, teen programming, and Camp Wise). With 1,600 member families and more than 150 employees, Wise is known for its inspirational educational, worship, and community service programs, designed for individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds. We will be opening our brand new, cutting-edge Aaron Milken Early Childhood Center in 2024. Job Responsibilities Establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy, with a focus on digital storytelling and content Develop and grow brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all platforms Lead the ideation, timing, and sequencing of new communications campaigns, guiding communications development from brief to launch Manage a team that includes:
Communications Manager (responsible for preschool/elementary school day-to-day communications, social media, marketing/admissions data tracking, and digital advertising); Media and Production Manager (responsible for all broadcast media including worship services, webmaster, creating large-format graphics, and in-house graphic design), and; Content and Special Projects Coordinator (primary writer/editor for electronic and print publications, daily/weekly newsletters, social media, and other) Work with contractors as needed to produce content that augments and maintains standards for design, branding, and impact Oversee public relations for the institution and for Wise clergy, including pitching opportunities and directing media inquiries and external appearances Cultivate and manage media relationships including websites of local and national interest, local and national press, social media influencers, and more Collaborate with clergy, senior leadership, and lay leaders to support fundraising, outreach, and programming/events Manage the marketing and communications budget Model the tenets of our faith on a daily basis to our members and the broader Temple community Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, communications, English, or related field strongly desired; 5
years' experience in communications, marketing, branding, or advertising, including at least two years in a supervisory position; Strong project manager, leader, and team player who collaborates effectively with all levels of employees and our membership Impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills; Experienced user of content management systems; Expertise in social media platforms, social media marketing, and digital content creation; Adept user of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, project management software, CRM software a plus; Knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, and calendar or a willingness to learn; and, Personal qualities of integrity and alignment with the mission of Stephen Wise Temple. Compensation This is a full-time, exempt position Salary range is $100,000 to $115,000 per year Hybrid position, up to 40% remote after an introductory period Substantial tuition discounts for dependents attending Wise Schools and camps Generous employee benefits including, medical, dental, vision, life, 403(b), and professional development opportunities We do not pay for relocation. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
