PROJECTS INCLUDE Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Collection Facilities, Water Distribution Systems, Water Treatment Plants, Storm Drainage Collection Systems and Facilities, Water Main Replacements, Potable Water Pump Stations and Reservoirs.
CIVIL ASSOCIATE ENGINEER JOB SUMMARYSupports principal design engineering and construction management team members on a variety of complex tasks on a wide range of challenging water resource projects that may involve master planning, modeling, pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilitiesExhibits passion in applying knowledge, skills, and technology to deliver viable sustainable and elegant solutions to our client's problemsMentors entry level engineers in the fundamentals and practices of water resource engineering.
CIVIL ASSOCIATE ENGINEER JOB DUTIESUnder general supervision, develops and prepares calculations, specifications, detailed design drawings, reports, construction submittals reviews, model setup and other technical deliverables for various water resource related projects.
Works closely with team members to gain understanding of project requirements and tasks as well as office procedures, polices, and guidelines.
Manages time and prioritizes tasks to ensure that project deadlines and needs are being met timely and effectively.
Constructively contributes to a team environment with an active desire to learn and collaborate.
Informs project manager of work progress and of any problems and/or questions.
Sets an example and may coach less experienced colleagues in technical procedures within the company and encourages professional growth in others.
Requirements:
Requires a BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
Requires 5
years' experience in water treatment and/or wastewater treatment, engineering analysis, and design of water distributions and wastewater collection facilities.
EIT Certification required; Professional Registration as Civil Engineer in California a plus.
Familiarity and understanding of wastewater treatment, fluid mechanics, and hydraulics.
Central and Southern California professional Water Resources network is strongly desired.
Demonstrates experience pertaining to water resource projects such as hydraulic modeling and distribution and collection system design.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other design software.
Experience with diverse hydraulic modeling software platforms such as Innovyze, BioWin, and Bentley a plus.
