JVS SoCal seeks an experienced career training management professional to lead expansion of JVSWorks' award-winning career training programs.
Under the direction of the Chief Program Officer, the Director JVSWorks is responsible for the operations and performance of JVSWorks' career training programs to help individuals prepare for the current and future workforce.
This position is a leadership role and includes day-to-day management and oversight of the administration, outreach and recruitment, operations, and business development for JVSWorks' career training programs.
This position will supervise and share program oversight and accountability with Associate Directors, Managers, Trainers, and Coordinators implementing career training systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the success of current and future training programs.
The Director will also oversee an Administrative Manager responsible for the La Cienega training facility, Employee Training Panel (ETP) reporting and billing, and ensure data standards for program reporting through Salesforce.
Requirements:
Undergraduate or advanced degree in career training and/or education, business administration, public administration, social work, or related field, along with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience.
Experience operating career training programs, including program design and development certification.
Ability to plan, organize and direct the development and implementation of workforce development training programs, perform complex tasks and manage multiple projects and timelines while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrate the use of data, processes, and project management methodology to guide and inform all decisions.
Business development capabilities to initiate, nurture and maintain collaborative relationships with employer and community partners and government agencies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage and train others to use technology and online platforms, including Microsoft, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Salesforce KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Director will work to achieve mutually agreed upon goals and outcomes to:
Recruit and enroll qualified participants Deliver quality training and curriculum Engage employers, partners, and funders Maintain high standards for participant graduation, placement, and retention Satisfy the requirements of government and licensing partners Satisfy employers and the requirements of employer partnership agreements Meet or exceed fundraising goals and funder requirements, prioritizing Employee Training Panel (ETP) performance requirements Outcomes will be achieved by way of:
Driving the performance and sustainability of JVS SoCal career training programs, guiding and leading staff to meet annual goals and requirements.
Serving as liaison with Philanthropy, senior program, and department leadership.
Collaborating with Finance to develop, submit and monitor the monthly and annual Works plan and budget, including all expenses and billing.
Developing strategic partnerships in the community for program delivery.
Facilitating the ongoing development of updated, effective curricula to meet the needs of business and industry partners.
Working in tandem with Philanthropy, Grants, JVSWorks' Staff, and Executive Management to develop funding and partnership opportunities.
Ensuring accurate accounting of training hours submitted to the Employment Training Panel (ETP), staying current and updated with ETP funding policies.
Developing and maintaining close working relationships with employers and community partners.
Working with the Outreach and Recruitment Team and JVS SoCal Marketing & Communications to develop and implement strategies for recruitment and business development.
Developing JVSWorks and individual JVSWorks program budgets and ensuring adherence to department budgets, contracts, and audit requests.
Tracking, monitoring, and reporting progress on key metrics and outcomes.

Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to visually inspect work.
Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment required.
Travel to training sites.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
