46 an hour Position Overview The Estimator / Purchaser has two primary roles:
estimating incoming door & window requests, and procurement of materials and equipment to support the fabrication and install aspect of the operation.
This position will work directly with project management, the design team, the drafting manager, the shop manager and the install leads, as an integral part of project delivery and cost control.
Promotional paths of the Estimator / Purchaser are to supervisory positions within the same department.
Essential duties for the Estimator / Purchaser include:
Estimating include, but are not limited to:
Review incoming project requests with Management and the Design Production Manager Identify and develop RFI's for additional clarification Perform take offs in our proprietary estimating software Develop initial project costing Develop pricing models of newly developed products Maintain and update product costs Purchasing include, but are not limited to:
Sourcing new products; for prototyping, inventory, etc Purchase product / material, while negotiating the best cost, to be delivered at a specified timeline, in order to fulfill contract obligations Confirm receipt of all products and accounting of all invoices, including input into Quickbooks and Smartsheet.
Maintain inventory Maintain master pricing list for estimating and cost control Process warranty claims Coordinate material procurement with shop and install teams as necessary Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities We are a fast-paced organization that relies on team members to bring expertise within their field and contribute to the continual improvement of the company.

The Position must possess a diverse range of knowledge and skills including:
Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email Ability to think critically about project workflow and recommend adjustment as necessary Flexibility to learn new methods and tools as the company grows Ability to work in a team setting and promote a collaborative and supportive environment Ability to understand company goals and imbue in daily work Strong command of standard office software including MS Office, email, etc.
Must be able to use database software for estimating (Filemaker and Quickbooks) Carry-out directions and assignments and help others do the same Carry out novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures Be timely and be communicative regarding issues, tasks and deadlines Ensure expectations remain on track and/or adjusted appropriately Inform team of progress achieved toward goals and/or potential project conflicts and emerging issues Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion We are a small company with a lot of opportunity.
