Bachelor s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Registration as a Professional Engineer in California is preferred or willing to obtain.
Caltrans experience is desirable, State highway experience required.
Experience in key leadership positions on projects at $80M or higher in construction cost with a proven ability to have a significant positive impact upon the project outcome.
Experience with multiple delivery methods is highly desired, including design-bid-build, design-build, and CMGC.
Detailed technical knowledge of the means-and-methods of heavy civil construction and related field engineering, including State highway construction standards.
Ability to drill down into technical challenges on bridge construction, concrete paving, asphalt paving, etc.
Well-rounded contract administration experience, including deep knowledge and experience with contracts, project controls best practices, drafting correspondence, dispute resolution, partnering, and construction claims.
Valid California Class C driver s license.
Contractor experience (Project Manager, Superintendent, Engineer) is a plus.
Must be able to work full time onsite in Northern Los Angeles.
The salary range for this position is $160,000-$220,000.
The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.

Ensures the safety of the CM team, Owners employees, Contractor s employees, and site visitors.
Maintain the project safety culture and provide oversight to ensure zero loss time incidents on the project.
Act as the Owners representative in all matters related to the project.
Lead all project CM staff and monitor all daily field and office activities.
Support Owners executive management of the Project.
Manage the CM team contract with the Owner (scope, schedule, budget, reporting and subconsultant firms).
As CM Team leader, address all personnel issues including staffing changes, compliance with prevailing wage requirements, training and development, and human resources support.
Support the CM team in identifying, managing, and resolving the most challenging issues of the construction project.
Monitor construction project schedule and budget and report as required.
Manage project in such a manner as to maintain quality, schedule, and budget.
Lead a multi-disciplinary CM team including staff performing resident engineering, construction inspection, quality (including material testing), safety, environmental, third-party coordination, construction survey, project controls and community outreach functions.
Ensure that all disciplines are working in coordination with each other and in alignment with the Owners project goals at all times.
Represent the Owner in the community and with public agencies.
Ensure construction conforms to all technical standards and contract administrative requirements of the Owner and all applicable third-parties and regulatory agencies.
Establish and maintain a field project management office, fully furnished, equipped, and functional as directed by the Owner.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
