We have an exciting opportunity to lead the Region's established underwriting team for one of the top growth areas for all of AXA XL.
The individual will be responsible for the region's strategy, growth, and overall impact to the America's Region Chief Underwriting Office.
You will lead the Regional Underwriting team, servicing a large renewal book and be responsible for producing new business through exceptional underwriting practices.
You will represent yourself as a true Cyber leader, internally and externally, based on your extensive and unique knowledge and experience.
DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include?Responsible for owning the strategy for profitable growth with new business and renewal business within (and possibly outside of) assigned territory to achieve profitable premium and rate goals, working with actuarial and claims, and successfully delivering results consistent with financial plan.
Closely collaborate with the leadership team to develop products to drive Cyber growth.
Provide input on the marketing strategy and partnership opportunities.
Create and execute the annual business plan and strategy, ensuring consistency with agreed risk appetites.
Responsible for underwriting profit and loss within the function, including revenue management on a gross and net level, and expense management.
Ensure that appropriate underwriting governance is maintained through policies, procedures, reviews, audits, and training.
Promote the professional growth of a diverse and engaged underwriting community, while planning effectively to maintain the organization's business continuity goals.
Manage underwriting teams to ensure operational efficiency around production and hit ratio reporting, retention ratios, production planning and tactical actions expected related to the established plans.
Underwrite, manage, and service a cyber and technology renewal book and produce new business in accordance with business unit goals.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk.
Participate in roundtable discussions on risk assessment.
Negotiate with producers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established underwriting standards to achieve profit objectives.
Maintain and generate new relationships with assigned brokers and clients to identify and establish new distribution relationships.
Maintain expertise with the products, services, priorities, and target markets to more effectively enable clients to uncover hidden cyber risks.
Promote the company's expertise by participating in industry conferences and events while regularly conducting and taking leadership roles in client and broker meetings to educate on evolving cyber risk.
Embody the AXA XL culture and act as a role model for all colleagues, irrespective of organizational alignment.

Extensive Cyber and Technology Underwriting/Managerial experience with an outstanding conceptual comprehension of data security, privacy, cyber and information risk.
Must reside in the West Region of the US.
