Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Aviation Design Project Manager for immediate employment for the Orange or Los Angeles, CA office.
Job Summary/ResponsibilitiesPerforming a wide array of aviation-related civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service AirportsPlan, direct, and monitor all aspects of small and large multi-discipline projects involving the design of airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, vehicle service roads, airfield lighting and signage installation, navigational aids, drainage improvements, utility relocation and protection, and pavement rehabilitationMentor and develop staff, provide leadership and an environment that encourages teamwork, initiative and growthGuide project teams on complex technical issuesSupervision, coordination, and production of several projects concurrentlyBuilds and maintains positive client relationshipsInvolved in marketing/business development including the ability to market and win work.
Develop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute projects.
Coordinate staffing plan and workload through the entire project development duration while meeting project schedules and budgetsControl overall project cost and scope, schedule, and quality of workImplement project QA/QC and work with Finance & Accounting, Controller, Department Manager, or Managing Principles for project reviewsPreparation of engineering design reports, project definition documents, construction plans, and contract documents / technical specificationsSignificant design and construction oversight for multiple general aviation clientsCollaborating and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and techniciansCoordination with clients, funding agencies, FAA and local permit agenciesQualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS
8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with an emphasis on designPREFERRED
Qualifications:
Experience managing $5MM contract value projectsBachelors of Science - Civil Engineering plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationExperience in preparation of Project Reports, Feasibility Studies, and PS&Es for Aviation projectsA proven track record of marketing/selling services to Aviation clientsProfessional Engineer License in CAMinimum of 8 years experience including 8 years of project management in the aviation market sectorAvailable to travel to clients and projects in Southern California Nevada and other states within the regionAdditional InformationOffered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The salary range for this position is $122,820.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
