LEAD REGULATORY RELATIONSWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?Position reports to the Head of Regulatory Relations and will be responsible for leading a team to provide proactive guidance to develop, implement, maintain, and effectively communicate regulatory compliance program in conformance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Senior member of a team which is the primary point of contact for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and assists business and risk departments with readiness for regulatory examinations.
Provides oversight and guidance to a team of Regulatory Relations professionals and escalate conclusions about thematic regulatory concerns based on the team's observations.

What you will doMaintain regulatory relationships & exam management Support the primary contact and key coordinator for CNB's regulators, primarily the OCC for all matters regarding CNB's businesses.
Lead and facilitate regulatory examinations, including annual and targeted on-site examinations by regulators, with minimal supervision.
Oversee and coordinate the timeliness and accuracy of responses to regulators, including data requests and responses to exam findings.
Lead and oversee internal reporting of metrics and data related to regulatory exams and findings Maintain thorough knowledge of banking regulations, bank operations and procedures, accounting, risk management controls, and other internal control objectives and practices.
Provide Bank Regulatory Advisory Support Work with business partners to identify, discuss and address emerging regulatory trends that may impact business operations from a regulatory perspective; actively monitor and report on regulatory developments and trends affecting US business platforms.
Work in a consultative manner with operational or other functional specialists to implement relevant laws, regulations, and guidance into policies and procedures; and coordinate with local control officers, line management, and audit to implement and monitor their execution and enforcement.
Work with senor management to identify, discuss, and address emerging regulatory trends that may impact their relevant business operations from a compliance perspective.
Partner with First, Second and Third lines of defense colleagues to help identify appropriate controls to achieve effective regulatory management.
Develop, Maintain and Enhance Regulatory Compliance Management Manage and adhere to internal controls, to include the Regulatory Compliance Management risk assessment for relevant US businesses.
Responsible for fostering a culture of compliance and with understanding relevant existing and pending regulations.
Provide advice on compliance and regulatory risk matters related to bank regulatory activities to businesses, and other functions, as required.
Must-Have Bachelor's Degree or equivalentMinimum 8 years of experience in banking compliance, risk, legal, regulatory or related bank regulatory experienceMinimum 8 years of financial services industry experience, of which 5 years must include direct experience in risk managementSkills and KnowledgeHighly prefer MBA or JD degreeExperience working for a Regulator highly desirableDeep understanding and proven ability to build relationship with different regulators and manage heavy regulatory exam loadStrong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, to include virtual, matrixed leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships within the Corporate Risk Compliance teams and enterprise Risk function.
Experience managing or being a part of a Regulatory Relations team for a large US bank.
Technical understanding of Corporate Risk operations, processes, and responsibilities.
Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end-to-end risk management solutions and controls aligned with group s processes.
Deep understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type.
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and risk management in the financial services industry.
Experience communicating and interacting with regulatory agencies, including exam management and other regulatory affairs.
For Banking Compliance related roles, Certified Compliance Risk Manager (CRCM).
For Wealth Management Compliance roles, experience with a financial institution such as a broker/dealer and/or registered investment adviser.
For Wealth Management Compliance roles, experience working within a Compliance Investment Management role.
CompensationStarting base salary:
$127,626 - $237,014 per year.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
