International Casualty Underwriter (Senior or AVP)

Zurich is currently looking for an experienced International Underwriter (Senior or AVP) to join our team in the West region. This position will focus on International Large Casualty business. As a member of Zurich's Underwriting Team, you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply and hone your underwriting and marketing skills. Specifically, you will underwrite and analyze new and renewal international accounts. This is a market facing position and you will be expected to be visible in the marketplace 25% of the time.Our motto:

The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant's experience and skillset relative to the qualifications listed for this position.The International Underwriter is responsible for:
Underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal businessMarket facing and production within the International Property and Casualty divisionAdministering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rulesDeveloping and maintaining agency and broker relationships in the West regionWorking within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignmentsMarket Facing Senior Underwriter Basic
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
ORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
ORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
ORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaORMarket Facing AVP Underwriter Basic
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 14 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 12 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
ANDExperience with Microsoft OfficePreferred
