The Vision Products Group is looking for a driven and dedicated machine learning research engineer, optimally with experience in 3D graphics, character animation, robotics, pose and shape estimation, or tracking algorithms. Years of professional experienceSolid foundation in 3D geometry and linear algebraExperience in machine learning, preferably in computer vision or 3D deep learning applicationsDeep knowledge of rendering, and familiarity with differentiable renderingGPU programming experience with Metal Performance Shaders, or CUDAExperience in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlowStrong experience in C++Excellent communication and collaboration skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical thinking skillsTrack record of successfully building and shipping products or open source projectsCreativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problemsDescriptionYou ll be working in a team of computer graphics and machine learning researchers and engineers to implement world class algorithms that pushes the state of the art.
Your job responsibilities will include:
Inventing and implementing state of the art computer graphics and vision algorithms to solve cutting edge problems
Designing such algorithms to work reliably and efficiently on mobile devices
Collaborating with other teams in software and hardware to ensure the full pipeline runs efficiently and utilizes Apple hardware effectively
Cooperating with your team members to prepare presentations, papers, and talks to explain your inventionsEducation & ExperiencePh.D./M.S in computer vision, machine learning, computer science or 5
years of equivalent industry experiencePay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
