Senior Front End Engineer

As the Senior Front End Engineer, you'll be helping us build new features and experiences for one of the fastest growing companies in the nation. We're looking for an experienced web engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of front-end development as well as participate in business development, project planning and knowledge leadership. The team works in an Agile environment, so collaboration is key. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Create, implement and edit reusable components and manage these component inside a UI library.
Participate in the ongoing development of technical, design and E-Commerce best practices.
Help others around you grow as developers to be successful.
Take initiative to research and learn emerging technologies.
Participate in the greater Front-End Community and the company as a front-end knowledge leader.
Build software applications
Follow coding standards, build appropriate unit tests.
Assist in defining software architectures
Collaborate with leads to explore existing systems, determine areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation.
Communicate continually with project teams
Explain progress on the development effort.
Translate designs and style guides provided by the UI/UX team into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance.
Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or new technologies.
WHAT DEFINES SUCCESS:
Awareness of the importance of design and the tools involved.
Possesses a working knowledge of back end systems.
Knowledge of website performance and how vital it is to the site's success.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
4
years' experience hand-coding HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3.
Advanced JavaScript skills.
Experience in MVVM and MVC architecture.
Experience with building ReactJS Components.
Experience with preprocessors - HAML, SASS, LESS.
Proficiency with 3rd-party API integration via REST-ful web services.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems.
Knowledge of Jasmine testing framework.
