We are looking for a Support Services Engineer to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our expanding infrastructure. You will be part of the Information Systems team supporting Southwest Business Unit operations by designing, integrating, and managing field and office environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
X Manage and monitor all installed systems and network infrastructure.
X Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
X Liaise with vendors and other IS personnel for problem resolution; collaborate with external suppliers and the IS team to identify new methods that will enhance and improve existing processes.
X Provide on-site and off-site technical support for all staff members within the Southwest.
X Provide documentation of Turner assets to include but not limited to user manuals and guides which will assist Turner staff in daily operations.
X Engage in creative problem solving techniques during challenging and time sensitive situations.
X Maintain network reliability and security compliance by performing firmware upgrades, and configuring circuit failovers.
X Configure and setup all hardware and software for staff members through managed portal, Microsoft SCCM, standalone installations, application server, and Citrix interface.
X Enforce compliance of Information Services policies and procedures.
X Assist with the design of scalable networks which support flexibility and growth without compromising architecture, performance, or existing security policies in place.
X Create user accounts in active directory, assign users to specific security groups and add user based permissions to file servers.
X Install and configure routing equipment to include; routers, switches, wireless access points, VoIP gateways; point to point bridge.
X Install and configure system equipment to include; print servers, DNS servers, DHCP servers, application servers, VoIP servers.
X Monitor network traffic and isolating network latency while identifying potential malicious threats.
X Perform backup and disaster recovery operations for all support aspects of the business unit or jobsite location.
X Perform upgrades and management for all mobile devices to include iOS, Android, and Windows through ISP's and MDM.
May perform other duties as necessary or required.
Qualifications
One or more years of experience in an IS Support role in a corporate environment providing support of overall IS infrastructure and systems as well as assisting end users with all IS related items.
A Bachelor's or other degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Other technical qualifications include: General understanding of networking, systems integration, database access, VoIP, and Microsoft Exchange. Responsible and detail-oriented individual with a proficient understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems and Networking fundamentals. Knowledge and comprehension of server based roles to include DHCP, DNS, NTP, SMTP, AD, and VM. Ability to troubleshoot networking issues through protocols such as ICMP, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, SSH, SMB, TELNET, as well as routing protocols. Cross platform system management for cloud and on premise deployments. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Windows OS, Mac OS, Android, and iOS.

Proven track record of providing excellent customer service to end-users.
Effective time management.
Ability to present information to management and public groups.
Ability to document procedures that conform to a prescribed style and format.
Good written, verbal, analytical, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
