Assistant Buyer

Job Purpose:
Assist Buyer in all duties and provide support functions through analysis and follow up; develop buying skills through analytical, administrative, and technical functions used in assisting Buyer and working through an integral part of buying process.
What you will do:
Work with Buyer to review OTB (open to buy) and manage receipt flow to ensure optimum sales/inventory results.
Generate weekly reports (style performance, style attribute reports, assortment planners, on order/shipping).
Review reporting and provide support to Buyer in creating spreadsheets for further analysis.
Confirm purchase orders with vendors based on detailed specifications (pricing, delivery, colors, fabric, etc)
Monitor Distribution Center issues and notifications through daily emails.
Manage promotion recaps and pull data, format and send to Planner(s).
Follow up with vendors to ensure all production requirements are met.
Work as liason between Ecommerce and buying office with product requests for photo shoots.
Process purchase order entry and modifications.
Manage RTV (return to vendor).
Requirements
Required Skills:
Good analytical and problem solving
Love for all fashion and retail industry
General knowledge of fabrics and garment construction
Team Player, problem solver and good work ethic
Excellent verbal communication
Strong attention to detail and immediate follow-through
Strong Microsoft excel skills (must be intermediate to advance level)
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
At least 2 years of related experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
