region sales manager, Direct Store Delivery, Evolution Fresh - Los Angeles, CA

Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Evolution Fresh success by increasing profitable sales within assigned region. This role will manage all aspects of Direct Store Delivery route sales within their region with a focus on increasing brand awareness to current customers, developing new customers, developing a team of sales and merchandising professionals and completing market and competitive sales analysis. Models and acts in accordance with Evolution Fresh and Starbucks values.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Lead a team of sales, merchandising and operations partners to develop and grow assigned accounts relative to sales volume, product distribution, space allocation, schematic resets and customer service.
Accountable for all details related to the day to day management of the Region P&L.
Plans, directs, and communicates monthly and annual operating plans to internal route sales partners and business unit stakeholders.
Builds strong relationships with assigned customers at all levels of their Regional organization; Develops and implements customer-specific annual joint business plans focused on product distribution, placement, pricing and promotional activity.
Delivers business and category reviews to Region customers, including product and merchandising initiatives, performance measures, and on-going tactical plans quarterly.
Manages allocated promotion funds efficiently and effectively and in line with internal controls.
Sells new item initiatives to deliver sales objectives.
Accountable for all hiring, training and sales development of Region Route Sales team.
Maintains appropriate internal controls to ensure company assets are safeguarded.
Summary of Experience
Experience leading a DSD operation (3 years)
Experience in managing and developing direct store delivery sales and merchandising teams (2 years)
Sales and account management experience in Food, Mass, Natural Drug and Club Channels (2 years)
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
Long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying moderately heavy items (20-25 pounds)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Strong selling and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently through cross-functional team
Ability to apply consultative skills in a business environment
Knowledge of business planning and financial performance measures
Knowledge of natural, food, drug, mass and club and the overall CPG industry
