SLP-CCC-Bilingual-East LACommunity Based-IDDThe Columbus Organization is expanding it's team of Speech Language Pathologists in the East Los Angeles area.
Immediate opening for a full time SLP-CCC to serving a community based program for IDD population.
Must have a minimum of one year early intervention experience.
Also must be bilingual (English-Spanish).

JOB
Responsibilities:
The primary role of the speech therapist will be to work as part of a multidisciplinary team that will support with identifying speech/language needs, perform speech/language communication evaluations involving speech/language, oral motor, swallowing, and alternative communication modalities for children under the age of three.
In addition, will develop therapy plan and provide ongoing speech therapy services.
Duties to include:
Complete speech/language evaluations using current standardized testing tools (Rossetti, PLS-5 and REEL Ill .
Address social emotional development including child and family outcomes in reports.
Development of therapy plan that will support with implementation in the natural environment, the frequency of service, and a home program.
Review needs and assess for augmentative and alternative communication needs of children.
Prepare written reports of eva_luationsMaintain ongoing documentation for individual treatmentProvide ongoing parent educationCollaborate with other professionals Education/
Experience:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited College/University with a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
A minimum of 1 year early intervention experience in working with children at risk for having a developmental disability(s).
Must be licensed by the (California Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers.
