Southwest Territory- Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing a team of sales professionals to achieve territory objectives.
The team builds sales through the cultivation of new and existing prosthetic and orthotic referral sources.
These sources include vascular and orthopedic surgeons, physical medicine & rehab physicians, institutions (hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehab facilities, etc.
) and allied health professionals (Physical/ Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Case Managers, Social Workers, etc.
), who participate in the provision of prosthetic and orthotic products.
Develop and execute appropriate sales and marketing strategies to meet and exceed performance goalsAccomplishes regional sales objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and coaching Business Development ManagersGuide BDMs to develop plans tailored to their local marketsWork with senior hospital staff and key surgeons in the development and execution of a plan to effectively integrate Hanger services at customer sitesEstablish and maintain relationships with physicians, nurses, hospital management and other areas of surgical and rehabilitative care delivering highest standards of customer serviceAchieve Overall Clinic and Territory revenue objectives.
Build collaborative and consultative relationships with Zone and Regional VP's, and clinic personnelSupport Business Development Managers in achieving new referral source sales objectives:
Conduct extensive new referral source development program including cold calls, drop-ins, etc.
Develop ample pipeline of potential new referral prospects.
Facilitate relationship management between referral source and clinicians through formal presentations, educational events, etc.
Coordinate contracts/agreements as necessary in accordance with company guidelines.
Achieve existing referral source maintenance and expansion objectives:
Develop account management plans for each clinic to measure and monitor business flow from key referral sources.
Develop plans to maximize revenue opportunity and increase patient referralsSupport a working environment that is consistent with the Company's values and objectivesDemonstrate judicious use of Company resources through appropriate expenditures on travel and entertainment.
Participation in events aimed at increasing market awareness of Hanger products and servicesParticipation and support of projects and activities as directed by managementRoutinely update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networksAssumes responsibility for executing various sales growth initiatives and special projects in a geographic area, as assigned by the VP of SalesAssists with the development and delivery of proposals, presentations, responses to RFPs, etc.
in an effort to improve contracting efforts with local or regional payors, large healthcare facilities, and other potential sources of business in local territoryCoach BDMs to build collaborative and consultative relationships with clinical teamsDirects the implementation of objectives, policies and programs for sales activities which support the financial objectives of the region.
Assist in development and implementation of strategies to maximize revenue from existing referral sources, generate new referral source sales.
Understanding of how to position Hanger Clinic against competitorsKnowledge of how to develop referral partner-focused, differentiated and achievable solutionsTotal revenue responsibility from $50-$200 MillionBachelor's degree in related field and 5 years experience or equivalent experience.
A valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
Strong leadership skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and oralKnowledge and understanding of healthcare Ability to maintain customer relationsAbility to drive company initiatives through colleagues / peersWorking knowledge of Microsoft software applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
