Sterile Processing Technician - SPD Requirements and Duties:
At least 1 year of Sterile Processing or Surgical experience Must be Certified:
CBSPD or CST.
All Shifts Available - Full Time Current Physical and TB Test Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Reprocesses and assembles specialized instruments and equipment, e.
g.
, cleaning instruments/equipment, prepares them for sterilization, sterilizes trays and instruments.
Maintains the instruments to ensure high performance during surgical procedures.
Inspects/tests the performance of specialized instruments and equipment; lubricates items in accordance with designated cleaning and instrument preparation instructions.
Documents required information and maintain required records.
Sets up case carts for surgical procedures.
Ensures correct inventory and restocks equipment and supplies as needed.
Assists with the preparation of equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Operates/troubleshoots equipment used for job functions seeks assistance as needed; reports hazardous conditions, malfunctioning equipment, accidents or other incidents to the immediate supervisor.
